Delete your data

This page explains how to delete the data Hazonlive stores about you — including the data we receive from Facebook and Instagram when you connect a Page or an Instagram Business account.

What we store from Facebook and Instagram

When you connect Facebook or Instagram, we store the Page ID, the Page name and the Page access token for every Page you grant in Meta’s login dialog, plus the ID and username of an Instagram Business account linked to the Page. Hazonlive has no Page selection of its own. Facebook and Instagram each get a separate entry, and both entries contain the same Page access token. Access tokens are stored encrypted.

For each published post we also store the ID that Meta assigns to it and the link to the post; if publishing fails, we store Meta’s error message (at most 600 characters). If an image is not publicly accessible, is in an unsuitable format or is too large, we keep a copy of it in our storage for publishing. Connecting, disconnecting and publishing are recorded in the activity log.

We do not retrieve or store the name or email address of your Facebook profile, Page insights or follower data, and we do not retrieve posts, comments, mentions or messages from other people. Hazonlive does not receive or store comments, mentions or direct messages from Facebook or Instagram: the app is not registered with Meta for any such notifications and does not request the permissions used to register a Page for them or to manage comments or messages.

1. Disconnect Facebook and Instagram (immediate, self-service)

  1. Sign in at hazonlive.com.
  2. Open Settings and switch to the Integrations tab.
  3. In the Social media connections card, click the bin icon in the Facebook row and in the Instagram row. Both entries contain the same Page access token, so please remove both.
  4. If you granted several Pages in Meta’s dialog, Hazonlive shows only one connection per platform. Repeat step 3 until neither Facebook nor Instagram shows a connection.

Each click deletes that entry, including the access token, from our database immediately. A connection applies to the whole workspace; any member with write access can disconnect it, members with read-only access cannot. Disconnecting does not revoke the permission at Meta (see step 4).

What remains after disconnecting: IDs and links of published posts and Meta’s error messages remain stored until you delete the post in Hazonlive or the workspace is deleted; deleting the post removes them from our database immediately. There is currently no fixed deletion period for them. Image copies made for publishing remain until the workspace is deleted. Log entries about connecting, disconnecting and publishing are deleted after 12 months. Deleting a post in Hazonlive does not remove it from Facebook or Instagram. You can have the remaining data deleted by deleting your account (step 2, for workspaces you own) or by writing to us (step 3).

2. Delete your account and your workspaces (immediate, self-service)

  1. Sign in and open Knowledge & Memory.
  2. Switch to the Data & Audit tab.
  3. Under Your data (GDPR), click Delete account, enter your password and confirm with Delete permanently.

This immediately deletes the workspaces you own with all of their content and files, including all Facebook and Instagram connections, posts and log entries in them (also those set up by other members), cancels the subscriptions of these workspaces and removes your user account. This cannot be undone.

In workspaces owned by other people, a Facebook or Instagram connection you set up there remains until it is disconnected there (step 1); content and log entries you created there remain without being linked to your account. Posts already published on Facebook or Instagram stay there.

3. Ask us by email

Write to kontakt@hazonlive.com with the subject “Data deletion”. We confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

4. Additionally: revoke access at Meta

On Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings and remove Hazonlive under Business integrations (or under Apps and websites, if it is listed there). This revokes our access at Meta. We are not notified of this: Hazonlive may keep showing the connection, and the data stored with us remains until you delete it via step 1, 2 or 3.

Backups

Our hosting provider Supabase backs up the database automatically every day. Data deleted via step 1, 2 or 3 remains in these backups until they are routinely overwritten; on our current plan, Supabase keeps the backups of the last 7 days. Files from our file storage (e.g. image copies) are not included in these database backups.

Details on storage periods and your other rights are in our privacy policy (section 4c for Facebook and Instagram). Controller: AGAPE INNOVATIONS GROUP INC., Toronto, Canada (see imprint).
